Top memories from Grade 5

Filed Under (00 Mr. Toft) by on June 14, 2012

Now that we are getting close to the end of the school year, I’d like you to look back over the year.  What were your top 3, or 5, or even 10, memories?  Write them in our blog as a post or create a comic using BitStrips. Explain why you liked the activity. I hope to turn our list into a segment on our last episode of Portable TV.

Here are a few of my favourite memories from this year.  I know there are many I am forgetting:

  • building roller coasters
  • field trip to Parliament Hill and the Supreme Court
  • building and playing drums with Leo Brooks
  • making masks for Greek plays
  • Pass the Baton for Parkinson’s
  • building an egg protector
  • Hoops for Heart
  • talking about our Portable Radio podcast at LDHSS
  • playing ancient civilization board games with Mrs. Belchamber’s class
  • getting students in New Zealand and the USA to participate in our class challenges
  • blogging on MrToft.ca
  • Skyping with Tom Angleberger, author of Origami Yoda
  • being videotaped for our innovative school nomination
  • making animation with Flip Boom All Star
  • receiving postcards frrom New Zealand
  • ski trips
  • Jack Magic
  • Teacher vs. Student Challenge
  • building a thermos
  • creating comics with BitStrips
  • creating Portable TV
